Quick week
Week went by fast. Nice weather mostly though. I'm pretty tired right now, so what did I learn this week that I didn't know before? Nothing that I can really think of.
I went to one of those Norml meetings they have here monthly. We watched some video on what to do if you get pulled over by the cops. Well, the video had more than just that on it, but that was all we watched. I think it was called "Busted" or something like that. Anyways, I thought I pretty much knew everything from previous bad experiences, but I learned something. You don't have to have your windows down all the way. You just have to crack your windows enough to be able to talk and pass the paperwork through the space, and apparently, according to this one old hippie guy that was there, he did this and it worked. Heh, the way he said it. He was talking about this big blunt of northern lights he just smoked and how he was so surprised the cop didn't smell it. Ahh, northern lights, some intense weed that is. Though the strongest smelling bud I've ever been around was this Afghani #1. Man, I had a little gram on me and it stunk up the whole room within minutes. This is when it was inside a bag and in my pocket. Skunky.
Back to the coplet thing. If or when the cop asks you to get out of the car, roll up the window and lock the doors. Don't just get out and leave the door open, cause that gives them a chance to just stick there face in the car without really asking.
So that's what I learned about that. I already knew about the whole 'Don't incriminate yourself', 'I don't consent to searches of any kind' and some other thing too. I'm just tired and have blanks in my mind. Oh yeah, saying the whole "Officer, am I being detained, or am I free to go now?". Because that lets you excuse yourself rather than waiting for the officer to excuse you from the area.
This one time when I got pulled over though, the cop walked up to the passenger window. What the hell would I do in that situation? I guess I could still crack that window instead, but it would seem kind of odd. I suppose it wouldn't matter unless I had something on me, or the car had fresh smoke in it. But I'm sure if there was fresh smoke, I'd be stoned, and if I was stoned I'd be paranoid and have a heart attack. Yeah, probably.
On that video they showed the first scenario where the kid got searched and sent to jail, and then the second scenario where he didn't get searched and everything was ok. Some funny notes, when the kid got busted, he didn't get a speeding ticket. When the kids got out of getting searched, he did get a speeding ticket. Man, these 3 kids get back in the car and are all happy. I'm sitting here thinking wtf. You just got a speeding ticket man. I've never seen anyone so happy over getting a speeding ticket.
Alright, I'm gonna go to bed. I didn't double proof-read anything here. So something that doesn't make sense, well, that's just how it's going to be. Go have a shot for me and then re-read what this all says.
